The Classroom

I worked in my classroom for three full days last week.  This week we have faculty meetings so I have only been able to put in a few minutes here and there.  Needless to say there is a lot to work to do and not enough time to do it.  Will  my room get finished?  Of course!  Will I cut some corners so I don't have to be in the hot classroom until 6:00pm? Of course!  Here are a few pictures of what my classroom looked like upon my arrival on Tuesday.

Off to work!  Hopefully I will get the classroom looking cute today so I can focus on getting my plans finished for Tuesday which is Meet the Teacher Day!

Hello World!

My name is Julie and this is my very first post.  I am new to blogging and hope that this is a rewarding experience for both me and any readers around the world.  I want to share my experiences teaching 4th grade and to discover ways to improve my teaching from all of you.

School begins after Labor Day so I am anxious to be in my classroom.  The plan is to get to work next week.  I will have before and after pictures at a later date.
